Can you make a second Hidden album on iPhone?

Photos has one Hidden collection and no folders inside it. Here is how to organize what you have and what to use if you need truly separate sets.

No. Photos has a single Hidden collection, and Apple's guides describe no way to create another or to add albums inside it. You can hide items from any album, but they all land together. For separate sets, use an app that supports them, such as a vault with several patterns.

People want this for sensible reasons: work photos here, personal ones there, and some they would not want opened alongside either.

What you can do inside Photos

Regular albums can hold whatever you like, and you can create as many as you want. But they have no lock. Items in Hidden sit in one pile, sorted by date.

A workable approach: use an ordinary album for things you want organized and don’t mind being seen, and Hidden for the rest. Use captions to make things searchable, keeping in mind a caption becomes searchable text.

Separate sets with separate locks

Backroom opens a different vault for each pattern, and it shows no list of vaults. So your ordinary photos can live under one pattern, and private ones under another. The free plan limits items in each vault, and there is no limit on the number of vaults.

Be aware of what this cannot do. A forensic examination of a phone could estimate how much data the app stores, so a second vault is not provably invisible. And each vault has its own pattern and its own recovery phrase to keep track of. The feature page explains more.
