Image resizer by pixels

Resize a JPEG, PNG or WebP to exact pixel dimensions, with or without keeping its proportions. Runs in your browser with no upload.

Choose an image, type a width or height and download the result. With Keep proportions on, the other side updates by itself so the picture does not stretch. The new file has no metadata, and your original stays on your device.

Resize or crop?

Resizing keeps the whole picture and changes how many pixels describe it. Cropping cuts away the edges. If a site wants a square and your photo is a rectangle, crop it first, then resize. Otherwise, turning off Keep proportions will stretch faces.

Rotation

Phones often store photos sideways with a flag that says how to display them. The tool applies that flag first, so width and height match what you see.

Limits

Each side can be up to 16,000 pixels, and very large images may exceed what your device’s browser can hold. Animated images come out as a single frame.

Frequently asked questions

Does resizing lower quality?

Shrinking throws away detail you may not miss. Enlarging cannot add detail, so the picture gets softer the further you go.

How do I hit a file size instead of a pixel size?

Use the image compressor, which takes a limit in KB.

Why is the output PNG larger than the original JPEG?

PNG keeps every pixel exactly, which suits screenshots and graphics. Photos come out much smaller as JPEG or WebP, so change Save as.
